Nydia and Simone are two professional tour guides, each with their own unique characteristics. Thus they contribute specializations from different areas, complement each other and the result are private visits and excursions in Mexico that have their very special touch.
Born in Mexico City, Nydia has lived for over 50 years in this metropolis of millions of opportunities. With interruptions, since she has made many trips and also one or the other longer stay abroad. On these occasions she learned German, French and English. In her life she has pursued different occupations, for example she has practiced semi-professional rowing. She currently works as an artist and tour guide and also produces Mexican handicrafts and silver jewelry. Nydia is not only in close contact with her Mexican roots in the field of art: for some time now she has been interested in the traditional healing art of her ancestors, which includes not only the body but also the soul and the spirit. She would like to share this path of personal development with other people.
Simone came to Mexico City in January 2014, because after her semester abroad in Puebla, she couldn’t stand it any longer because of all the México home sick in Germany. During her studies of Literature and Ethnology, she has travelled many countries with her backpack and has spent several stays in Spanish and French speaking countries. Her fascination for language and culture in combination with her love for Mexico, as well as her desire to travel gave her the idea to work as a tour guide in Mexico. Because everything she teaches the visitors, she must of course first learn herself! But Simone is not just any tour guide – she has her own point of view on Mexico, and yes, her own head. She seeks the essence of Mexico in its archaeological sites as well as in various underground movements of the scene in Mexico City.
